An opportunity has arisen for a temporary experienced Wedding Co-Ordinator to join our award-winning team within the Wedding and Events Department. This is a Fixed Term post until mid-March 2026 to cover Maternity Leave.
Stirk House specialises in planning hundreds of events each year, ranging from weddings, charity balls and dinner dances, to conferences, baby showers and birthday parties.
We are looking for candidates with experience as a Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator.
Salary is dependent on age and experience.
We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping people plan their events. You must be friendly, confident and professional with excellent administrative and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage your time, plan and prioritise your workload is essential.
As part of the team you will be expected to build strong product knowledge in order to answer queries confidently and efficiently. This includes being aware of pricing structures in order to quote correctly. You will need full knowledge of our packages and what they include.
Duties
Assisting with the planning of events including weddings, dinner dances, charity events and conferences.
Administrative duties - replying to emails, answering the phone, filing, typing up client details, inputting new bookings, generating letters, contracts and invoices.
Using various IT systems – Rezlynx, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Conducting venue tours with prospective clients and those attending Wedding Fayres.
Liaising with other departments and creating function sheets.
Carrying out thorough, effective and timely communication following initial viewings or any meetings with clients ensuring no detail is missed and communicating with managers.
Setting up function rooms with table settings and decorations according to customers' specifications and ensuring suppliers have also set up in accordance with the specifications.
Organising bedroom bookings in conjunction with the reservations team.
Essential experience and skills required
Proven experience as a Wedding Co-Ordinator
Rezlynx experience a distinct advantage.
Proven administrative experience and skills.
Experience working in a customer-facing role preferably in a similar environment.
Friendly, professional and welcoming personality with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and external suppliers.
Excellent organisational skills and time-management.
Flexibility and willingness to work in other departments as and when required.

Pay: £21,870.00-£26,000.00 per year
