The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for an Assistant Cost Engineer to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Assistant Cost Engineer? You will be accountable to the Lead Cost Engineer, assisting and supporting with business and Cost Management activities within the PMO, and providing support of the delivery and roll out of the Cost Management Systemisation within the SPA Programme. The role will interface with the Commercial and Finance teams to ensure effective Cost Management provision; this also includes supporting of Earned Value Management and Change Control across SPA. Key responsibilities: Assist with the effective and timely rollout of a Cost Management System; including assisting configuration of the Contruent System, Budget, Forecast and Change Setup. Assist with the production of Training Material and Training Sessions to upskill the existing Commercial Team in the use of a Cost Management System / Cost Management Procedure. Assist with the upload of Baseline Budget Details, assisting with interfacing between the Estimating Team, the Delivery Teams and Cost Management Ensure proper administration of the Cost Management System by the Commercial Team, including ensuring Change (Forecast, Budget, and Contract Change) is administered according to the Governance Procedure as set out within the Schedule of Delegated Authorities within the Cost Management System Support Assist the Commercial Team in the administration of Cost Management System, including day to day support and assistance with any queries and archiving requirements. Experience of using a Cost Management System Experience of Change Control within a major project Good mathematical and presentational skills. The ability to understand codding structures and links to other systems.
