We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a global engineering and manufacturing leader, with over 20 worldwide locations employing 1000+ staff.

The role involves maintaining and governing quality management systems, working within an integrated project team, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure delivery of quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
\
* Maintain and govern quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015 through thorough internal and external auditing.
* Represent and promote quality throughout all areas of the team.
* Engage with third-party accreditation bodies, customers, suppliers, and end-users to ensure delivery of quality requirements inline with regulations and standards.
* Ensure accurate usage of internal systems for timely recording of non-conformity, discrepancies.
* Conduct quality investigations on non-conforming products using root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and industry-recognised tools.

Requirements
\
* Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and understand detailed mechanical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
* Open to travel UK and overseas - full clean driving licence required.
* Apprentice-trained or holding a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
