Aims of Job/Job Purpose
This is a key role within the College, and you will be relied upon to be a trusted advisor and source of expertise within the Workforce Development team to support achieving the skills to meet the overall College development strategy.
To ensure new staff have an outstanding onboarding experience and the strategic direction of the College, and ensure this is reflected in the Learning and Development experience of employees.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning and delivery of the annual programme of Learning and Development supporting the College's strategic aims to improve the quality of education.
* Planning and managing the mentoring scheme for newly appointed managers across the College.
* Lead and develop the Learning and Development Strategy to meet the College's strategic aims.
* Lead the training needs analysis across the College to link strategic priorities.
* Arrange the Training Needs Analysis and prioritising the strategic aims, budget and ensure the Learning and Development is delivered.
* Facilitate Learning and Development activities including the onboarding and systems onboarding sessions for new staff.
* Lead on and deliver an agreed programme of management development, to include training programmes, work shadowing and other activities, as appropriate.
* Ensure accuracy of data is upheld and maintained, carrying out regular audits to ensure compliance.
* Manage College Learning and Development and support faculty and divisional areas with the organisation arrangements for Learning and Development.
* Implement various learning methods across the organisation training, coaching and mentoring.
* To create e-learning training packages.
* To keep abreast of latest Learning and Development products and approaches.
* To manage the work of the Professional Development Co-ordinator.
* To respond promptly and efficiently to responses for Learning and Development.
* Learning and Development budget is managed.
* Manage the College's work experience, for external placements.
* An annual Learning and Development Programme is managed and delivered.
* Coaching new managers' soft skills development programme is delivered.
* A programme is developed and ensure staff are trained in AI.
* New Manager Programme is developed and delivered.
* Draft Learning and Development impact reports for SLT and Governors.
* Manage the College's TTF funding and placements to ensure new teachers meet their contractual obligations and achieve teaching status.
* Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as directed and required, that is commensurate with the grade of the post.
