The Head of Accommodation is a key position within the Directorate of Facilities Management & Campus Services, which provides services to students, including catering, cleaning, campus safety, space management, and accommodation services. Accommodation Services are responsible for on-campus accommodation across both the original Campus West and the newer Campus East, including that which is owned by the university and in partnership with third-party providers. The Head of Accommodation will provide leadership for the team and work with stakeholders on the provision of the accommodation with an emphasis on contract and property management. Role Reporting to the Assistant Director (Accommodation), you will manage the Accommodation Services team and support all business processes in the delivery of accommodation, being engaged in the year cycle and future planning of accommodation strategy. The Accommodation Team is responsible for the student journey from first attending Open Days through to the application and allocation process for a portfolio of over 7,000 beds spaces. You will work closely with other university teams to deliver a student focused service. These include Student Recruitment and Admissions, Student Life and Wellbeing, Finance, Estates, and within the Directorate of Facilities Management and Campus Services As Head of Accommodation, you will also manage a range of partnerships and contracts with third-party owners and operators while ensuring a seamless experience for students. Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed Senior leadership experience of student or residential accommodation Demonstrable knowledge of accommodation provision Level 6 qualification.
