Job Title: Community Care Officer
Location: Oak House, Linby, NG15 8LG
Salary: £30,024 - £33,699 per annum
Hours per week: 37
Working pattern: Full Time, Hybrid (office based approximately 2 days per week after probation)
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a multi‑agency team in a fast‑paced environment to join the team as a Community Care Officer. You will join a friendly and established team whose emphasis is on ‘making safeguarding personal’ and delivering a proportionate response to concerns raised about adults at risk. The team works with adults aged 18 and above across all areas, specialising in undertaking adult safeguarding duties in line with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
Responsibilities
As a Community Care Officer you will support the safeguarding enquiry process, often working remotely via phone and Microsoft Teams, and collaborate with partner agencies, community teams and your colleagues to gather appropriate and proportionate information in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
* 2 years’ experience of working with adults
* Experience of operating as part of a team
* Ability to work on your own initiative while collaborating closely with colleagues, partner agencies and community teams
* Experience of working at pace and managing multiple demands
* Evidence of ability to gather appropriate and proportionate information
* Evidence of understanding risk, impact and implications of risk
* Effective communication, organisational and IT skills are essential
