In this role, you will:
* Demonstrate Samsara’s products and platform capabilities in person, via webinar, or at industry events.
* Facilitate live proof‑of‑concept trials, including hardware installation in vehicles or equipment.
* Work closely with Product Management and other teams to help evolve the platform.
* Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
* Identify and eliminate sales obstacles with creative, adaptive solutions.
* Partner with account executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
* Discover customer processes, translate needs into trusted advisory insights, and match solutions to pain points.
* Contribute to team enablement, internal communications, and cross‑functional collaboration.
* Champion Samsara’s cultural principles—focus on customer success, build long‑term value, adopt a growth mindset, be inclusive, and win as a team.
Minimum requirements for the role:
* 5+ years of customer‑facing roles, including 3+ years of pre‑sales experience.
* Experience with enterprise sales cycles or equivalent.
* Consistent track record selling complex solutions.
* Strong execution of discovery, proof of value, and technical win.
* Understanding of value selling and frameworks such as MEDDICC and Command of the Message.
An ideal candidate also has:
* Hands‑on experience with customer evaluations and deployments.
* Expertise in one of the following: cloud software, IoT, networking, SaaS, automation, or control systems.
* Experience with integration projects, including RESTful APIs; scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus.
* Experience with IoT hardware, vehicles, or general tinkering is a plus.
* Background in fleet, logistics, supply chain, telematics, manufacturing, or general operations is a plus.
