Support the current ostomy care product range and contribute to the development of new technologies and products by working in collaboration with the R&D and lab teams. Key Responsibilities • Performing physical testing within a quality-controlled ISO13485 & ISO9001 laboratory in accordance with GMP/GLP compliant procedures. • Development of physical test methods to support NPD. • Documenting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting laboratory data. • Supporting the creation and maintenance of DHF’s for new products • Producing R&D prototypes and conducting relevant physical testing. • Calibrating and maintaining test equipment. • Developing good working relationships within a multidisciplinary team • Supporting the R&D team with shipping samples and raising POs where required Skills & Experience • Knowledge of physical testing within the medical devices industry. • Aptitude for technical problem solving. • Ability to work safely and competently in an R&D laboratory to produce accurate, precise ,and valid test data • Ability to comply with GMP and good documentation practices • Scientific capability to understand technical requirements of R&D work • Logical thinking skills: demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data gathered from a variety of sources • A good team player, proactive and flexible in adapting to a changing environment. Qualifications/Education Qualified to degree level (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant science related subject. Principal Contacts Internal – Lab teams to support test method development and look at test execution External – Lab supply vendors and external test houses where required to coordinate activities. Travel Requirements Position may involve travel up to 10% of the time, mostly within Europe. Working Conditions This role will be based on-site at the CTEC Deeside facility.
