Demand Planner Our Merchandising team are currently seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join the Own Label on a 12 month fixed term basis. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring forecast accuracy and inventory optimization across all channels while working for the world’s leading luxury retailer. About the Role This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you will manage demand and fulfilment planning across a portfolio of Own Label products – including Toys and Stationery. You’ll be central to range planning, forward forecasting, and inventory control, working cross-functionally with key teams and stakeholders. Other responsibilities will also include: Own the demand planning process across multiple Own Label categories (including Toys and Stationery), using historical trends and rate of sale to create accurate forecasts. Manage stock flow and inventory, including safety stock levels, intake tracking, and stock distribution across locations, ensuring readiness for key dates and promotions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Retail, Finance, Imports, and Distribution to align on critical paths, vendor performance, and intake strategy. Monitor and analyse trading performance through WSSI reports and weekly trade reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and making actionable recommendations. Support and mentor junior team members, ensuring workload is prioritised, training needs are met, and development is continuous. Drive continuous improvement, proposing and implementing process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and commercial outcomes. About You You are a commercially minded and detail-oriented Demand Planner or Merchandiser with strong experience in core merchandising duties. You bring a strategic approach to planning and trading, with the ability to analyse sales performance, manage stock flow, and influence product strategy across a department. You will have: Solid experience in demand planning or merchandising, ideally at Assistant Merchandiser level or above, with exposure to range planning, forward forecasting, and critical path management. A strong grasp of line card maintenance, stock allocation, and WSSI reporting, with the ability to translate data into meaningful actions. A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work cross-functionally, contribute in meetings, and challenge assumptions to drive the right outcome for the business. Excellent Excel skills and working knowledge of planning systems such as SAP or MRP tools (system training provided if needed). Experience supporting or managing more junior team members, with a proactive approach to sharing knowledge and driving team success. A flexible, self-starting attitude with a passion for retail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
