About The Role
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery team tomanage the technical execution of testing theneutral host infrastructure within the Transport for London Underground environment.The role willinterface betweeninternal engineering,buildand commercialteams, testing suppliers, TFLand theendcustomer toaddress issues andsolve problems as they arise within the post-integration testing process.Within the role, the focus on delivery will be key to meet programme timelines, whileembracing a focus on continuous improvement andidentifyingand implementingefficient ways of working.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Ensure safety and quality management are given the highest priority in delivering the work schedule to achieve right first-time delivery.Work with the Commissioning Manager toprovide technical leadershipandoversee the NHDAS systems are testedin accordancetoBoldyn Network’s test plans.Work with the Engineering Test & Assurance Manager tovalidatethat the test equipment and test plans areappropriateand will collect data to meet contractual requirements.Conduct analysis of the test report data collection/report generation software/hardware platform andidentifyareas where the ease of testing and programmatic generation of test reports can be improved.Whileensuringthat testing data is being collectedin accordance withthe test plans.Work with internal and external stakeholders to generate post-integration test reports for the Commissioning Manager to have peer reviewed and issued.Identifyareas of non-conformance during testing and escalatewithin the processfor review toidentifypotential design changes.Promote a “Right First Time” approach and be part of a culture that embraces a focus on continuous improvementSupport the team with initiatives in process improvement and improved ways of workingReport and account for “work in progress” in terms of planned work on a weekly and monthly basisReport andaccountfor status of unplanned or delayed workDemonstrate the competencies and communicationrequiredto collaborate with multiple functions to support program targetsDemonstrate competencies around supplier management and monitoring in terms of delivery, H&Sand quality
What You’ll Bring
2. Proven experience of leading a testing programme, approach, delivery and outputs to demonstrate our due diligence and commitment to deliver to the required standards
3. Demonstrated experience conducting root-cause analyses to identify and solve performance or optimisation related issues
4. Analytical and detail oriented, problem-solving skills with experience of analysing and interpreting technical procedures
5. Demonstrate evidence of managing and driving best approach to testing practice, actively seeks out latest approaches and open to new ideas
6. Review all test strategy documentation from an execution perspective and ensure they are achievable.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Expertunderstanding of Mobile Networks Infrastructure, such as 5G FR1 NSA/SA, FR2 and LTE Architecture
8. Knowledge of the following systems: Electromagnetic interference (EMI), Structured cabling testing, Optical fibre testing, Wireless Network Architecture
9. Strong understandingof Mobile Network Operators or Telecoms vendors
10. Knowledge of Joint Operator Technical Specification (JOTS)
Pathway or GRIP process experience.
