We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our growing team at Hitchin Priory Hotel, Tilehouse street, Hitchin, SG5 2DL.
As a Chef de partie, you will be responsible for preparing fresh food for a large range of events and meal times. We recently reopened our property as a full service hotel and we are growing very rapidly. If you have a passion for fresh food, flexible in shift pattern and enjoy working in a team-oriented atmosphere, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented according to SOPs
Set up stations with all necessary supplies and ensure stock rotation
Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
Skills:
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and on your own
Flexibility to work early, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
