We are seeking a senior technology leader to drive Away Resorts IT strategy and roadmap, overseeing systems architecture, daily operations and support and data & analytics platforms. As part of the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our technology delivers secure, stable, and efficient solutions that enhance the experience of our guests, holiday homeowners, and teams across multiple UK locations. This role requires strategic vision and practical execution—shaping long-term plans and technology capabilities while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

What you'll be doing:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
* Develop and deliver the IT strategy and roadmap, aligned with business goals, growth plans and budgets
* Lead digital transformation across guest reservation systems, guest & homeowner experience technology, and back-office systems
* Ensure technology investments support operational efficiency, deliver value, and achieve strong returns
* Lead the Programme Management Board to oversee implementation of technology projects
* Drive process improvement through technology and data-enabled solutions
* Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, including AI, to shape the holiday park experience of the future
Technology Operations Management
* Oversee the management and continuous improvement of core IT systems, networks, and infrastructure across central support office and park locations.
* Ensure system availability, resilience, and scalability to meet seasonal demand fluctuations.
* Implement effective IT service management (ITSM) processes, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
* Lead technology asset lifecycle planning ensuring budgeting is in place
* Manage all IT licensing arrangements across the business
IT Policies & Training, Cybersecurity & Compliance
* Lead on cyber risk management, ensuring robust data protection, PCI-DSS compliance, and adherence to GDPR
* Liaise with insurers providing required data and implementing risk management actions
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
* Ensure appropriate technology related policies are in place (e.g. IT acceptable use, Cyber security, Data and AI)
* Support delivery of IT policy training
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
* Build strong relationships across the business ensuring IT solutions and services meet operational needs
* Manage third party suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring SLA's are delivered
* Drive cost effective procurement of technology services and solutions
* Oversee licensing arrangements and identify opportunities to reduce duplication across the business
Team Leadership & Development
* Lead, motivate, and develop the IT team to deliver high performance and excellent customer service
* Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Ensure skills development to keep pace with emerging technologies
Skills, experience and qualities you'll need:
* Proven IT leadership experience at a senior management level, ideally gained in the hospitality, leisure, or multi-site retail sectors
* Strong understanding of reservation systems, POS, booking platforms, ERPs and data & analytics tools (e.g. Azure, PowerBI)
* Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies (Azure/Microsoft 365) and cybersecurity best practice
* Experience in analysing, implementing, and evaluating IT systems and specifications
* Strong commercial awareness with experience preparing and managing multi-million-pound IT budgets
* Track record in delivering IT projects on time and within budget
Advantageous experience includes UK holiday parks or hospitality, guest-facing technologies (apps, booking systems, digital check-in), post-acquisition integration and a recognised project management qualification
In your previous roles, you will have developed a balance of innovation with commercial awareness, combining strategic vision with practical execution. You will have built strong relationships across the business, remained close to operational challenges and demonstrated resilience and adaptability in fast changing environments. You will have been recognised for setting high standards and ensuring disciplined, secure delivery.
