Role: Environmental & Sustainability Manager
Location: Burgess Hill (Hybrid - 2/3 days in office)
Hours: Full time
Pay: £55,000 per annum + 12% bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental & Sustainability Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading organisation in the diagnostics industry, based in Burgess Hill.

The Requirements:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management or sustainability (experience within healthcare, pharma, or diagnostics is an advantage)
* Strong knowledge of UK, Ireland, and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks
* Proven project management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
* Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes
* Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about sustainability and positive change
The Role:
An opportunity to lead sustainability initiatives across the UK and Ireland, driving ESG commitments, compliance, and innovation to support the organisation's net-zero goals.
* Develop and deliver sustainability strategies that align with global standards, ISO 14001, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
* Ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks (ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, WEEE)
* Lead initiatives to measure, analyse, and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste, and resource use
* Partner with internal teams, suppliers, and industry networks to promote sustainable practices
* Design and deliver training to raise awareness and build capability across the organisation
* Support sustainable product and process innovation, including circular economy initiatives
* Establish and monitor KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement
