Editorial Assistant. Are you a recent MA graduate, or a current MPhil/PhD student in Historical Studies with a passion for photography, and feminist history? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an Editorial Assistant to support the development of a new anthology on the influential British photographer and activist, Jo Spence.

Responsibilities
* Administer submissions and track editorial progress
* Liaise with editors, authors, and copyright holders
* Format and desk-edit materials to house style
* Coordinate editorial meetings and take minutes
* Use platforms like SharePoint, Dropbox, and Google Docs
* Ensure timely communication and scheduling
Qualifications and attributes
* Knowledgeable in the history of photography and British feminism
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and bibliographic tools
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
* A clear communicator with excellent time management skills
* Eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative editorial team

Salary and benefits
£6,682 rising to £7,585 per year (Pro-rated £38,981 to £44,247 per year, FTE). Grade 6 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

Contract
