Job description Job Opportunity: Assistant Cook Our Private Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Cook to join our team. Key Requirements: NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds equivalent (Level 3 preferred). Food Hygiene certification (Level 2 or above). Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role. Excellent organizational and catering skills. Responsibilities: Take full charge of kitchen operations during the Head Cook's absence. Prepare nutritious and wholesome meals based on a structured menu plan for our 51 residents. Cook and serve breakfast, lunch, and tea, along with snacks, beverages, and home baking. Motivate and manage the kitchen team effectively. Ensure completion of paperwork and handle food ordering responsibilities. Job Details: Full-time, Permanent position (37 hours per week).
