About the Role

As a Part-Time Year 1 Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting pupils as they transition through KS1, helping to develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 1
* Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
* Assess and monitor pupil progress using formative assessment strategies
* Provide clear, supportive feedback to aid pupil development
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues
* Contribute to planning, meetings, and professional development as required
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable, though ECTs are encouraged to apply
* Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A nurturing, patient approach and a passion for early education
