Main duties of the job
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer to join the specialist Radiography team within the Cancer and Haematology Centre at Churchill Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and providing safe, accurate, and innovative radiotherapy services. You will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their cancer treatment journey while working within a multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, accurate, and highly specialised radiotherapy planning and treatment for patients across a wide range of tumour sites.
* Perform and evaluate treatment verification imaging, identifying any required adjustments to optimise treatment accuracy and patient outcomes.
* Undertake CT simulation and patient localisation procedures to support radiotherapy treatment planning.
* Assist in the delineation and preparation of treatment plans, including outlining critical organs and structures prior to tumour volume definition by the Clinical Oncologist.
* Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism throughout all stages of the treatment pathway.
* Work collaboratively with clinical colleagues to ensure the delivery of an efficient, patient-centred radiotherapy service.
Qualifications
* Current HCPC registration.
* A Degree in Radiography (or equivalent recognised qualification).
* Demonstrable experience working within a radiography setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
