This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, chilled manufacturing environment, offering a strong salary, and long-term stability within a growing engineering team and a business that will invest in your development. The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining site performance and reliability across production and packaging operations. Key responsibilities include: * Responding to breakdowns and fault-finding to minimise downtime * Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across plant and machinery * Supporting small continuous improvement and reliability projects * Working closely with Production, Technical, and Hygiene teams * Accurately completing maintenance records and documentation * Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and food safety standards What I’m Looking For * Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing * MUST HAVE: NVQ / C&G recognised Electrical qualification, your application will not be considered if not * Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability * Experience working with pneumatics and reading technical drawings * Fabrication and welding skills * A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent) * A proactive, problem-solving approach and strong team ethic What’s on Offer * Salary up to £52,000 * 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights) * 5% annual bonus * 5% matched pension * Opportunity to join a stable, growing business with investment in people and equipment * Supportive engineering team and clear expectations Next Steps This role would suit an engineer who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
