KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To work as part of the Nursery Team, in ways which enable children to gain essential life skills, develop their sense of identity, increase their confidence and self-esteem, develop positive and supportive relationships and raise their aspirations.
Partnership working with children, parents and carers
¬ Help develop the nursery as a place which celebrates diversity, where children are listened to, valued, respected and enabled to achieve their full potential.
¬ Help to provide a caring, creative and stimulating environment that is appropriate for each individual child.
¬ Help to provide an exciting and creative play curriculum and good quality learning experiences for children within the nursery, in accordance with SureStars Nursery practice and Government guidelines.
¬ Observe children's development and keep accurate records as required.
¬ Work in ways which value the different cultural backgrounds of children.
¬ Work in ways which value and respect parents and carers and ensure they are kept fully involved in their child's experiences in Nursery.
Multi-agency working
¬ Work positively with staff at Kingsway Primary School, Leamington Children's Centres, other agencies and partners.
¬ Attend meetings as agreed with the Nursery Manager.
Environment
¬ Work within the agreed framework of policies and procedures within the nursery.
¬ Help to ensure a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment within the nursery.
¬ Report any loss, damage or low stock levels in equipment or resources.
¬ Help carry out regular risk assessments in order to keep children, staff, parents, carers and visitors safe.
¬ To assist in maintaining the cleanliness, safety and security of the rooms and equipment used.
GENERAL
¬ To work under the guidance of the Children's Acts, Early Years Foundation Stage, and any other statutory or local guidelines.
¬ Be responsible for own professional development and participating in relevant training opportunities.
¬ Prepare for and take part in regular supervision sessions and the staff appraisal process with the Nursery Manager or Senior Team and encourage feedback from other colleagues and service users.
¬ Implement SureStars Day Nursery Limited's policies, including the integration of Equality and Diversity Policy and anti-discriminatory practice into all aspects of the nursery activity.
¬ Participate in all practical tasks needed for the day to day running of the Nursery.
¬ Attend and participate in staff development sessions, meetings, group supervisions, review, case conferences and other meetings as required.

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
