Position: Business Development Team Leader
Department: Sales

Reporting To: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
* Build, coach, and inspire a high‑performing phone‑based new business sales team.
* Assign and manage campaign data; conduct tests to boost conversion rates and implement actionable insights.
* Monitor sales and analyse key metrics such as conversion by person or channel; deliver performance reports to the Managing Director.
* Provide training, call auditing, coaching support to improve sales performance; coordinate with the Learning & Development team as needed.
* Ensure adherence to prospect contact strategy and associated CRM processes.
* Set and manage monthly targets and ambitious year‑on‑year growth goals, driving results while developing talent.
* Lead a hands‑on, momentum‑driven culture, coaching individuals on negotiation and objection handling.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience, ideally in a phone‑based new business sales environment.
* Strong understanding of sales processes and drivers of high performance.
* Experience setting and managing targets and KPIs with effective coaching techniques.
* Ability to balance performance management with development: deliver 1:1s, clear feedback, hands‑on coaching.
* Capacity to create structure, accountability, and momentum within a team.
* Transferable and soft skills; we consider candidates lacking some criteria if they have aptitude and capability.
