Job Title: Regulatory Manager – Cosmetics

Cpl is collaborating with a growing beauty and skincare company with a large customer base, including high street retailers, online fashion retailers, and licensed products. The focus is on colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and fragrances.
The company is seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Leader to join a rapidly expanding, dynamic team in the Northwest of England. The role involves designing and manufacturing private label and branded cosmetic products from concept to delivery.
As a Regulatory Manager, you will be part of the Regulatory Compliance Team, reporting to the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality. You will lead the regulatory compliance efforts for all retail partners and products, working closely with NPD teams and the China Factory to ensure worldwide regulatory compliance.
Role Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inquiries from customers and internal teams.
* Collaborate across teams to communicate complex regulatory requirements and technical data, supporting successful product launches.
* Ensure regulatory compliance of all product artworks and marketing messages globally.
* Assist in developing and implementing the Global Regulatory strategy.
* Support NPD on claims and testing to maximize compliance and product claims.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations to ensure agility and compliance as the business grows.
* Own the development of safe and compliant products, advising on ingredient selection and external consultants as needed.
* Prepare technical documentation for submissions, licensing, and change reporting.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must have previous experience in cosmetics.
* At least 8+ years of experience in cosmetic regulatory affairs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships at all levels.
* Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and creativity in communication.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a sense of urgency.
This role does not offer sponsorship, and the candidate must be willing to work on-site in Knutsford.
