We are looking for a talented and motivated Information Security Analyst to join Stagecoach and play a vital role in protecting our network infrastructure, computer systems and data from cyber attacks, security incidents and breaches. You will monitor network traffic, implement protective measures and conduct vulnerability assessments to keep our operations safe and secure. What You’ll Be Doing
* Working with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) to actively monitor network traffic and security logs for threats or suspicious activity.
* Serving as a first responder to security breaches, investigating, containing, and mitigating threats to restore systems quickly and effectively.
* Conducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in hardware and software, using tools such as Tenable.
* Installing and maintaining data encryption programmes and security software to protect sensitive information, and supporting the implementation of security tools and technologies.
* Ensuring security practices align with industry regulations including GDPR, PCI‑DSS and ISO 27001, preparing reports and KPIs for stakeholders.
* Supporting the development and maintenance of information security policies, standards and procedures.
* Staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies and methods to keep Stagecoach ahead of emerging risks.
What We’re Looking For
* Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS and NIST.
* A solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows/Unix) and security software.
* Hands‑on experience with security applications such as Tenable, SPLUNK and OKTA.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret alerts, analyse complex data sets and identify patterns in cyber threats.
* Excellent problem‑solving ability, able to resolve security issues and develop proactive measures against future attacks.
* Effective communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex security threats to non‑technical colleagues and deliver security awareness training.
* Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline is desirable.
* Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) would be a distinct advantage.
