The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Manager within our Norwich office. The role is to provide accounts services to our varied clients, whilst working with our more senior members of the team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Managing a varied portfolio of clients, comprising sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Responsible for quoting fees, raising fee invoices, and managing allocated work in progress (WIP)
* Planning jobs for preparation by team members and working within budgets
* Coordinating with management team on workload and providing updates to Partners
* Working directly with partners and providing the main point of contact for clients
* Preparing annual accounts when required
* Drafting corporation tax computations for review by the tax department
* Occasional ad‑hoc assignments, including preparation of management accounts and forecasts; reviewing work of team members and providing feedback
* Overseeing the training and development of team members, including assisting with queries and providing effective training when required
* Maintaining an up-to-date profile and active presence on LinkedIn to enhance professional networking and promote firm‑wide initiatives (training can be provided)
* Promoting and contributing to the Vision and Values of M+A Partners
The Candidate
* Minimum ACA or ACCA qualified
* Minimum of three years’ experience within a senior accounts position in a practice environment
* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards
* Demonstrates excellent adherence to professional and ethical standards
* Confident communicator, capable of building strong relationships with clients and liaising effectively with other professional advisers
* Experience supporting the development of team members, including providing guidance and reviewing work
* Proactive and commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities to add value for clients
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a wider team
* Working knowledge of accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks Online, and Xero
* Familiarity with CaseWare is advantageous, though not essential
* Committed to delivering high-quality work and maintaining excellent client service standards
