Working with global leaders in energy supply and services, we have an exciting opportunity for a driven Business Development Manager to join one of the largest B2B sellers of energy.
The Business Development Manager would have an outstanding track record in B2B new business sales, preferably in the Retail Energy sector.
The Business Development Manager would be joining the Direct Sales team, responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the B2B energy market, with a key focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities would include:
* Prospect Development: Focus on identifying and engaging with businesses that have a strong commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. Utilise a variety of methods to connect with potential clients and customers, including networking events, industry conferences, and digital platforms.
* Utilization of Co-pilot: Where possible, use AI tools such as Co-pilot to enhance prospecting efforts, analyse market data, identify potential leads, and gain insights into the sustainability initiatives of target companies.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients and customers. Also, look to build new relationships with prospective clients and customers.
* Sales Strategy: Review and implement effective sales strategies to achieve Energy Supply’s targets and expand the client and customer base.
* Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients and customers.
* Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies and with the operations team to ensure client satisfaction. Attend and present at events and conferences relevant to the role.
* Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasts to senior management.
To be considered for this role, you would require:
* A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role within the Energy Market.
* Preferably, knowledge of the UK Energy Retail Market.
* Well-developed experience of sales techniques and optimisation across various sales segments.
* Knowledge of sales techniques and optimisation.
* Planning and development against objectives.
* Staff management and motivational skills.
* Analytical skills using Microsoft Office tools.
* Ability to resolve complex issues.
* Ability to analyse problems and identify solutions using Microsoft Office tools.
* Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
