The role Residing centrally in England, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) West of England & Wales will be responsible for the sale of all FOSS solutions in a pre-defined region stretching from Cornwall to Cheshire including all of Wales. In addition to instrument sales the RSM will also be responsible for selling Customer Care products, including reagents, consumables, FOSS IQX & FossCare support agreements at point of instrument sale. Reporting to the Managing Director, the RSM will be working closely with other colleagues to grow market share. Full product training will be provided both locally in Runcorn & at our headquarter facility in Denmark. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Food Science, Life Sciences, Medical/Clinical or General Sciences (or similar), with a strong commercial background. Experience with capital equipment sales would be an advantage, including a good track record of meeting/exceeding sales revenue projections. Strong computer literacy skills, for example experience with CRM databases (SalesForce), Microsoft Office, Teams, etc. Full driving license. Personal skills This position would suit a person who is comfortable working in a small team, based from home the job will require extensive travel across the territory of West of England & Wales. We expect you to show initiative, to generate sales leads, manage a sales pipeline & of course be able to close a sale. You will need to be prepared to work alongside other FOSS colleagues to form a “one team” environment. Our sales team works closely with colleagues in Service so it’s important the successful candidate is able to develop these relationships within our local FOSS team. We are also looking for experience in developing new customers within the specified territory, whilst also maintaining relationships with existing good customers. The target is to grow our business so we will expect the revenue in the region to improve year on year.
