Are you an experienced IT Technician looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham? Winner Education are working closely with a school in North Birmingham in assisting them with the recruitment of a School IT Technician. The role is full time, 8:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday. You will be required to start in January on a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure dedicated ICT areas are ready for use each day and are in good working order Provide support to end users as required by assessing incoming incidents Check hardware regularly and report any faults Keep accurate and timely records within the incident monitoring system Proactively assist staff in solving any problems with using the school's network Liaise with the ICT Manager and external agencies/companies as necessary Maintain and update IT stock, warranties and software licences in accordance with the asset register, ensuring that all hardware is security marked Maintain the schools hardware database, network printers, video / audio editing facilities, interactive whiteboards and projectors Provide assistance in coordinating the testing and installation of new 3rd party software or services. The successful School IT Technician will: Have sound understanding and relevant experience of ICT and computing to include both software and hardware. Demonstrate good communication skills Have technical experience of receiving and resolving ICT issues within schools across a range of devices.
