We are talkSPORT: as the world’s biggest sports radio station we are at the heart of major global sporting events from the World Cup and European Championships to the Premier League and the Champions League, through to Test cricket and world‑class boxing. talkSPORT delivers live sport, expert analysis, and engaging content across radio, digital, video, and social platforms.
Your role:
You will be tasked with turning raw footage into engaging podcasts. Your role will be varied and will require a range of skills from long‑form to reels that capture the imagination and the audience’s attention from beginning to end. You will be working alongside producers to make sure the vision for each show is achieved. This role will be responsible for shaping talkSPORT’s video presence across digital platforms, enhancing audience engagement, and extending our podcast’s reach through high‑quality, compelling visual content.
Day to day you will:
* Edit high‑quality video content for a range of podcasts
* Edit full‑length video episodes to tight deadlines, as well as clips and social‑first content for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
* Develop creative formats and visual ideas to grow shows digital audience
* Collaborate with audio producers, presenters, and editorial teams to ensure alignment with editorial standards
* Apply colour grading, text overlays, and lower‑thirds to emphasise key narrative points
* Oversee post‑production workflows, including graphics and subtitling
* Monitor performance and analytics to inform content strategy and optimisation
What We’re Looking For From You:
* Excellent experience of filming and editing video content using Adobe Premiere Pro
* Technical expertise in handling multi‑camera setups and long‑form storytelling
* A keen eye for detail with the ability to spot and rectify minor visual or audio inconsistencies
* Problem‑solving skills to creatively "edit around" technical glitches or recording imperfections
* Familiarity with audio plugins for voice restoration and high‑fidelity standards is welcomed but not essential
* Good understanding of platform trends, algorithms, and best practices across multiple social channels
* Familiarity of Riverside and Frame is welcome but not essential
* Good time‑management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive worker, looking to improve and learn
