Role description
Our Apprenticeship Trainers, known internally as Vocational Skills Coaches (VSCs), are key to inspiring and coaching learners in their industry. Working closely with the employer, they will support learners through both theory and practical-based work, with monthly progress review meetings between learner and coach. Delivery is blended (online and face-to-face). Learners are based across GL, SN, RG, BS, BA postal areas.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a training programme that ensures a robust ILP and regular review of learner progress
* Maintain learner records and reporting to support management reporting and audits
* Facilitate teaching of functional skills qualifications and provide feedback to support progression; liaise with functional skills tutors when applicable
* Provide exit advice and career progression guidance (IAG across the learning journey and at the end)
* Deliver learning in line with apprenticeship standards; ensure consistency and fairness in teaching, learning and assessment
* Deliver against KPIs in line with company expectations and operate within the delivery framework
* Maintain high-quality learner experience and strengthen relationships with business support teams
* Participate in quality assurance activities with the quality team
* Drive self-generation across the area and uphold the Learning Curve Group brand
* Plan CPD aligned to company and stakeholder requirements and update Purple People accordingly
* Be a vocational expert within the designated sector and support cross-sector projects as needed
* Promote equal opportunities and comply with safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety policies
* Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice and guidance as part of everyday role
Qualifications and requirements
* L5 Health & Social Care Qualification (essential)
* Maths & English Level 2 or above (essential)
* Teaching Qualification at Level 3 (AET, PTTLS) – desirable
* Assessors Qualification at Level 3 (CAVA) – essential
* Experience: Minimum of 12 months in a leadership/management care role/setting (essential)
* Good IT skills and excellent communication and coaching abilities (essential)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organisational skills (essential)
