Location: Admiral Jellicoe House, Portsmouth
Salary: £16.20 per hour

The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust is a Royal Navy & Royal Marines charity that gives help, in cases of need, to serving and former Royal Naval ratings and Royal Marines other ranks. We also help their partners, children and some others connected with them. The RNBT has a ‘family-run’ feel and we have carefully created a supportive, friendly and close-knit team making it a unique and very special place to work.
We are actively recruiting for a full-time Administration Lead to join our team at Admiral Jellicoe House in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Care Home Manager and working as part of a small, supportive team, the Administration Lead will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the home.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Maintaining accurate employee records
* Support end to end recruitment tasks and processes for both clinical and non-clinical roles
* Liaise closely with our central HR team to ensure people paperwork is completed in a timely manner
* Support the Home Manager in ensuring rotas are sufficient to meet the needs of the home and to ensure safe staffing levels are maintained.
* Liaise with the Home Manager to monitor and control the use of agency staff when required
* Ensure timesheets are completed in accordance with payroll timelines
* Apply for and manage Right to Work and DBS checks
* Track Nurse registrations and NMC PINs as needed
* Monitor outstanding probationary periods for new staff
* Report sickness absence with accuracy and liaise with HR to support the return to work process
* Manage onboarding and leavers in line with policies
* Maintain accurate training records
This role would suit a highly organised individual who has experience in a care home or similar role. The position is fast-paced and varied, so an ability to manage changing priorities and be responsive is essential.
A Navy, Armed Forces or non-profit background would be beneficial but is not essential. Our team have built their experiences across a wide range of sectors and we strive to be as inclusive as possible to drive diversity across the Trust.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a generous suite of benefits to our employees including:
* 6 weeks holiday (inclusive of public holidays)
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Free on-site parking
* Eligibility for Blue Light Card
A full job description is available on request.
CLOSING DATE MIDDAY FRIDAY 9 MAY 2025.
