Great opportunity to work as an Operations Planning Manager for our clients, leading fruit and vegetable production site.
Staffline is recruiting Operations Planning Managers to work in Peterborough.
You must have your own transport to get to and from the site.
The rate of pay is £ per hour.
Overtime is paid at £18 per hour.
As an operations planning manager, you will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
The shift times for this position are:
5:45am to 5:45pm
Please note that this is subject to change to cover and meet business requirements.
There is a high chance of temp to perm for the right candidate!
Your Time at Work
As an operations planning manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient and seamless operations across the production floor.
You will be:
- Distributing and updating daily production plans for Line Leaders and Shift Managers
- Monitoring real-time production progress and proactively adjusting schedules
- Communicating closely with departments, including Allocations, Engineering, and Operations
- Supporting investigations into stock discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy on Works Orders
- Planning line maintenance in collaboration with the Engineering Team
- Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with a strong focus on food safety and quality
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured planning, effective communication, and working in a dynamic team.
Our Perfect Worker
Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role. Full training will be given to ensure familiarity with the systems and standards.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or fresh produce environment
- Have experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent IT and mathematical skills, with a strong eye for detail
- Be confident in communication across departments and functions
- Be highly organised and able to make fast, effective decisions
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of food safety and manufacturing standards
- Have experience in leading teams
- Hold a degree in Business Management or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience
Experience with ERP systems and a background in production planning are highly desirable.
