We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Steward to join our award winning kitchen brigade at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 and our One Square Restaurant and bar.
The role involves the following:
To ensure the efficient running of the wash-up, pot-wash, skip room and back of house area to ensure the hygiene of the kitchen and stewarding areas. To assist the Executive Chef and Stewarding Supervisor in any reasonable duties.
1. Clean crockery, silverware and copperware to the required standard
2. Use cleaning chemicals, materials and implements in accordance with instructions provided
3. Maintain the optimum levels of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen area
4. Maintain the required standards of cleanliness in the back of house areas, including corridors, skip, and bin areas
5. To carry out any other duties as required
Requirements:

6. Must be a Team Player – Demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit.
7. Good Understanding of English language
8. Hard working
9. Flexible and adaptable approach towards shift types and working hours
10. Previous Kitchen porter experience is an advantage.
11. Seek own solutions to the minor obstacles that occur from time to time
