National Account Manager

Location: Newry

Department: Commercial

Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven National Account Manager to join our commercial team. In this role, you will lead business development and account management activities across Great Britain, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships across retail, convenience, and foodservice channels. You will represent the companys values of quality, legality, and authenticity, helping customers achieve extraordinary results through our passion and expertise.

This is a critical role with significant influence over commercial growth and long-term customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Business Growth

* Develop and grow national accounts to achieve sales, margin, and category targets.

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across retail, convenience, and foodservice channels.

* Lead customer meetings with strong commercial presentations, negotiations, and relationship-building.

* Collaborate with NPD, Marketing, and other internal teams to optimise existing product listings and develop new products.

Customer Relationship Building

* Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with national customers.

* Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, issues, and commercial updates.

* Monitor customer performance, trends, and feedback to identify risks and opportunities.

Commercial Strategy & Execution

* Contribute to the creation and execution of the national sales strategy and commercial plans.

* Track and analyse sales data, KPIs, and forecasts to support decision-making.

* Ensure pricing and promotional strategies align with overall business objectives.

* Work closely with internal teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Technical, and Operations to deliver excellence.

Operational & Administrative Duties

* Maintain accurate records of account activity, sales forecasts, pricing agreements, and commercial documentation.

* Prepare monthly reports, business reviews, and performance updates.

* Support day-to-day commercial operations and ensure alignment between departments.

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience in national account management, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.

* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and financial metrics.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels.

* Experience working with major retailers, convenience, or foodservice customers is highly desirable.

* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
