Female Care Assistant required to support female aged 44 years living in Newton Aycliffe. Last year I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND). I can no longer stand or walk and I’m a full time wheelchair user. I use a ceiling track hoist to transfer, which I am able to assist you with. I’m able to use my arms so I do have some independence. I currently have no issues breathing or swallowing. I work full time in a college in Darlington. I am looking for someone to assist me in getting up and dressed, ready for work, and helping me out of the house and into my taxi. I would then require help with my personal care and getting me changed and ready for the evening/bed. I may also require support with household jobs such washing up, laundry, changing beds and vacuuming as needed.
Hours/Wage 6.45-7.30am (45 mins) each weekday; 7-7.45pm (45 mins) each evening. Some flexibility on the morning times during school holidays would be appreciated, if possible. 1.5 hours per day. 10.5 hours per week. £13 per hour.
