The Role
As NSW State Service Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth delivery of service and maintenance operations while driving continuous improvement across client outcomes, team development, and business processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
Ensuring timely and high-quality technical service delivery
Leading a team of technicians, including recruitment, training, and performance development
Overseeing financial performance, planning, and reporting
Supporting scheduling and resource planning in collaboration with our operations team
Championing safety as a core operational priority
Leading contingency planning and improving our rapid-response capability
Being available for occasional after-hours support and interstate travel (with overnight stays)
This senior leadership position is based in our Preston, NSW office and requires a strong balance of operational, people, and client engagement skills.
About You
We’re looking for a confident, proactive leader who is passionate about service excellence and delivering positive outcomes for clients and teams alike. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
5+ years’ experience in service or operations management, ideally in industrial or technical environments. While boiler industry experience is preferred, if you If you have experience working with compressors, pumps, chemical dosing systems, or turbines, we strongly encourage you to apply—your background will be highly relevant to our work in steam, hot water, and boiler infrastructure.
A trade qualification or engineering background (highly desirable)
Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills
A genuine interest in energy efficiency, industrial systems, and continuous improvement
A valid driver’s licence
