Assistant Manager - Amersham
You will work 24 hours a week working weekends on a rota basis and occasional holiday cover.
This role is based in the Amersham shop which is currently trading as South Bucks Hospice. In October 2025, Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is merging with South Bucks Hospice, so the appointed person will be employed by Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.

Join our busy and friendly retail team as a Shop Supervisor and play your part in growing our retail income so we can continue to support patients across Buckinghamshire and borders with life-limiting illnesses.
What would you be doing?
* To support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager to deliver an excellent retail offer for the local community.
* Assist in achieving agreed income targets – sales, Gift Aid and Hospice Lottery
* Ensure that a standard of excellence is maintained at all times with regard to customer service.
* Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in the recruitment and retention of shop volunteers, helping to promote a happy and productive working environment for the volunteers.
* At all times, safeguard the Charity's reputation by working in a professional manner and personifying FNHC values.
About you
* You have got experience of and enthusiasm for working as part of a team in charity or fashion retail.
* You have got experience of working to achieve sales targets in a customer facing environment.
* You are physically fit and able to lift and carry large quantities of donations of stock, waste and recycling on a daily basis.
* You have demonstrable positive, solution-focused, 'can-do' attitude.
Applicants for this role need to be aged 18 or over. This role involves the supervision of volunteers, and in order to adhere to our safeguarding policies, all staff employed by FNHC Shops need to be over 18.
