Health and Safety Advisor - 12 Month FTC
Location: Ipswich
We are working with a specialist interiors company delivering high-end commercial fit-out and joinery projects. They are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide expert advice and ensure compliance across workshop and site environments, driving continuous improvement and supporting key safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide health and safety guidance and act as point of contact during management absence
2. Conduct site inspections, liaise with contractors, and address safety issues
3. Write and review Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Method Statements
4. Lead and chair Health & Safety forums and report findings to management
5. Investigate accidents, produce reports, and implement corrective actions
6. Support ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) and other accreditations
7. Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies
Requirements:
8. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)
9. Strong IT skills and effective communication
10. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
11. Experience in construction or manufacturing environments preferred
12. First Aid and CSCS card desirable
