USAIS – Clinic Administrative Officer
Join our dedicated and compassionate team at the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS). We provide vital services for severely and profoundly deaf individuals across the south of England and the Channel Islands.
About The Role & Responsibilities
* You will work with the Assistant Manager for Medical Secretaries & Clinic Admin Staff, and within the wider team to ensure effective management of USAIS patients through the appropriate clinical pathway.
* Provide comprehensive, effective, and efficient administrative and operational support to all USAIS staff.
What You Will Do
* Perform a range of administrative, customer service, and support activities, including using a specialised Patient Administration System & NHS Supply Chain.
* Be deployed flexibly to maintain service continuity, applying in-depth knowledge of established systems, processes, and equipment to complete tasks related to the patient pathway.
* Progress and resolve a range of enquiries of varying complexity from patients, carers, hospitals, and other USAIS stakeholders.
* Manipulate, analyse, and evaluate standard information or data, working collaboratively and communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Bring
* Relevant work experience in an administrative or customer support role, preferably in healthcare or a clinical environment.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and within a busy team.
* Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and confidentiality in handling data and patient information.
