We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to take responsibility for all on‑site engineering activities. You will oversee setting‑out engineers and subcontractors while taking ownership of Temporary Works coordination and compliance. This is a key site‑based role, ensuring technical accuracy, quality assurance, and safe delivery of works across the project.
Key Responsibilities Lead all setting‑out activities, ensuring accuracy across RC frames, groundworks, and structural elements
Manage and verify site engineering surveys, including drainage, slab levels, lift shafts, stairwells, and as‑built records
Coordinate and check construction drawings, resolving dimensional clashes and discrepancies
Oversee Temporary Works implementation in line with approved designs and safety procedures
Carry out QA inspections, including rebar checks, cube testing, and post‑pour slab edge level surveys
Order and coordinate materials for RC frame, drainage, and waterproofing packages
Use Fieldview for inspections, QA documentation, and issue tracking
Manage drawings and project documentation
Raise and track RFIs, resolve setting‑out issues, and support site safety and compliance requirements
About You Degree‑qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Proven experience delivering engineering works on major construction projects, ideally involving RC frame, groundworks, and high‑rise structures
Experience managing and mentoring site engineers
Temporary Works accredited, with a strong practical understanding of TWC/TWS responsibilities
Proficient in Fieldview for QA reporting and inspections
Confident using 4Projects (or similar systems) to manage drawings and technical documentation
Strong setting‑out, surveying, and construction sequencing skills
Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with confidence liaising with subcontractors, consultants, and site teams
Proactive approach to health & safety, quality control, and compliance

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs engineering work in applied research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, and documentation of products or systems. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, qualify and develop Switch Mode Power Supplies.
Participate in design conceptualization, schematic generation, mechanical packaging and PCB layout of projects assigned.
Conduct circuit breadboarding/fine tuning, power‑up, test and verify specs compliance.
Perform Design Verification Test (DVT) to the project assigned and all necessary circuit simulation and tolerance analysis.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) with emphasis on component cost and quality.
Perform Failure Analysis on switch mode power supplies.
Ensure that parts in the BOM are qualified, preferred parts and multiple source.
Create accurate, error‑free test reports and controlled documents.
Project Planning and organization.
Help coordinate with the support group on project deliverables.
Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
Collaboration with the support group.
Provide engineering support to safety, QA and customers.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
8+ years relevant work experience with Switch Mode Power Supply Design, Simulations Tools in product development, Research & Development and knowledge of circuit operation and failure analysis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join our Sizewell C team in Suffolk. To be considered, you will come from a Construction or Civil Engineering background and have been in the role of a Senior Engineer within a Civil Engineering Highways environment a priority.
Reporting to the Site Agent/PM, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing the engineering on a project, ensuring works are constructed to the contract drawings, specifications, procedures, and plans, whilst managing site and trainee engineers.

Experience/Knowledge Previous experience as Senior Engineer (or similar) for civil engineering contractor.
Experience in general civils within a highway’s environment inclusive of Site Clearance, Drainage & Service Ducts, Earthworks, Pavements, Kerbs & Footways and Street Lighting.
Good knowledge of CDM regulations and temporary works.
Strong knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering / specification for highway works.

Ability to speak up on HSEQ matters and lead by example.
Use of Fieldview / Dalux (or similar) web and mobile BIM software.
Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCad / Autodesk / Sketchup (desirable).
Qualifications Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
Member of Institute of Civil Engineers or working towards (desirable).
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
Valid CSCS card.
Full UK driving licence.
Health, Safety & Environment Writing/Checking RAMS and TBS, communicating to workforce and monitoring compliance.

Temporary Works Design – In liaison with TWC, identify temporary works requirements, produce design briefs, and understand and communicate temporary works designs to site team and monitor installation to ensure compliance.
MARs – Raise Material Approval Records and procure materials in line with programme.
TQs – Highlight issues and raise queries from review of drawings and specifications and from site inspections, and raise with relevant party, drawing sketches where required.
Quality Management ITPs – Writing/checking ITPs, communicating to workforce and checking the process is being followed.
QA Records – Keep organised and accurate QA records in accordance with ITPs and project requirements.
NCRs & Defects – Lead on documenting, tracking, closing out, and sharing lessons‑learnt to avoid reoccurrence.
Quality Handover Documentation – Collate information in accordance with ITPs and handover requirements.
Quality Readiness Reviews – lead on readiness reviews whilst capturing lessons‑learnt / improvements.
