Job Title: Procurement Coordinator
Location: Tilbury
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing Electrical and Mechanical Engineering company. With exciting projects underway and a growing procurement demand, they are looking to expand their team with a strong Procurement Coordinator who can effectively manage supplier relationships and ensure the timely and cost-effective purchasing of key components.
Role Overview:
The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for both placing orders and managing supplier relationships. The successful candidate will ensure materials and components are sourced efficiently and within budget, whilst maintaining control over stock levels and procurement documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Place purchase orders for electrical and mechanical components in line with project requirements
*
Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and performance
*
Negotiate pricing, with a focus on PPV (Purchase Price Variance) improvements
*
Expedite orders to ensure project timelines are met
*
Maintain accurate procurement and stock control records, including monitoring of re-order points
*
Control and file all procurement documentation accurately and in line with internal processes
*
Work closely with internal departments to forecast material demand
*
Use the CRM system for procurement and stock control activities (full training will be provided)
*
Support the wider team with any ad hoc procurement tasks as needed
Required Experience & Skills:

Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role
*
Background in electrical, mechanical, telecoms, data industries preferred
*
Strong negotiation skills, particularly around pricing and supplier terms
*
Experience expediting orders and managing supplier performance
*
Good understanding of stock control principles and re-order point monitoring
*
High level of accuracy and attention to detail with documentation
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
