As the Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Investment and Bank for Market Tech- Sales, Research, and Data portfolio, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, championing architectural excellence in cloud deployments. You will work closely with leadership, engineering leads, and teams to create target architectures that are resilient, future-ready, and aligned with business goals. Job responsibilities Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to define target state architectures for applications across our AWS and on-premises portfolio, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture and firmwide standards and business strategy. Represent the Sales, Research and Data in firmwide technical governance meetings, providing feedback and driving improvements in architecture governance practices and opinionated. Guide the evaluation of current technologies and lead the assessment of new solutions using established standards and frameworks. Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering best practices in cloud-native design and development. Understand business needs and opportunities to inform architectural decisions and strategic direction. Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations, balancing innovation with operational stability. Serve as a subject matter expert in enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, and AWS best practices. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software architecture concepts and proficient advanced experience. Demonstrable experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions. Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application design, and technical processes, with expertise in at least one architecture pillar (Business, Application, Data, Infrastructure). Proven ability to evaluate and recommend current and emerging technologies for future-state architecture. Skilled in verbal, written, and diagrammatic communication, with the ability to adapt style for diverse audiences. Experience guiding teams through modernization programs, including cloud migration and roadmap creation. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills AWS certification (Solutions Architect or higher) strongly preferred Demonstrable experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS
