Position Overview
Ward Manager – Hunters Moor, Birmingham.
Hours: 37.625 hours (rota‑d on‑call included).
Registered Nurse (RN) required; 3+ years post‑qualification experience.
Complex behaviour and Acquired Brain Injury essential.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Standards
Lead the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care, ensuring compliance with ACG standards, clinical governance frameworks, and national regulations. Support colleagues as a role model and work collaboratively with the Matron and MDT to maintain excellent clinical standards.
Workforce Management & Development
Ensure safe staffing levels, appropriate skill mix, and responsiveness to service needs. Manage performance, appraisals, and training, and support a learning environment for students and new staff.
Safety, Risk & Clinical Governance
Maintain a safe, clean environment and lead infection prevention, health & safety, and risk management. Contribute to incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and promote a culture of safety.
Resident Experience & Advocacy
Champion dignity, privacy and respect; collect and act on resident and family feedback and lead care reviews.
Statutory Compliance & Safeguarding
Ensure all documentation complies with MCA, DoLS, and national legislation; act as key contact in safeguarding processes.
Service Development & Improvement
Lead improvement initiatives, collaborate with NHS bodies and local authorities, innovate nursing practice and develop the service model.
Resource & Financial Management
Manage day‑to‑day nursing resources, oversee cost‑effective staffing and act as authorised signatory on budgets.
Qualifications & Experience
* A current NMC Pin registration (RN/RMN)
* Legal right to work in the U.K.
* At least 3 years of post‑qualification experience
* Strong clinical experience in complex behaviour and Acquired Brain Injury essential
