Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineer
Reports to: Director of NDT Services
Working Arrangements: Offshore Ad hoc, Marine and land-based shipyard and plant work. The role is based primarily out of The Lab at Brookes Bell in Bidston, Merseyside with mobilised site attendances both around the UK and globally.

The NDT division within The Lab at Brookes Bell was a technology start-up that is now entering its fifth year of business, and in line with our strategic growth plan and the expansion of our global NDT services, we are seeking an experienced competent PCN Level 2 PAUT inspection engineer to join the team on a full-time staff basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role requirement is for an individual with demonstrable experience in a commercial industrial setting, who is ready to take ownership of projects and client relationships, and who brings an entrepreneurial mindset to developing new opportunities.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own comprehensive workload, ensuring delivery of projects and other business-related matters to agreed technical, commercial and time-focused deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of quality and communication. The successful candidate will also play a key role in developing new business revenue streams and maintaining a portfolio of clients, securing repeatable work through excellent service and technical credibility, and actively engaging with new clients to build long-term trust-based relationships.
Additionally, the position offers the opportunity to develop into a recognised specialist in the field, contributing to complex investigative and litigation focused assignments and supporting the preparation of high-quality evidence-based subject matter expert reports.
Person Specification:
* Significant experience related to specific job description
* PCN L2 Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Welds
* PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) 3.1 plate 3.2 pipe (3.8/3.9 beneficial but not a minimum requirement)
* Weld inspection campaigns on both structural and pressurised systems
* Corrosion mapping surveys
* Good understanding of degradation mechanisms affecting fixed equipment and infrastructure in Marine, Offshore Oil & Gas and Energy industries
* Good understanding of HSSE management systems and Risk Assessment methodology
* Well versed in internationally accepted codes, standards and practices
* Highly motivated and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills both internally and when managing key client project work
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
