The Role
The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems, Joint and Air Systems Program Office (EWIS J&A SPO) is seeking a highly professional, motivated EL1 Product Manager to join the team.
Working in the Joint Electromagnetic Warfare and Sub Program (JEWSP), you will lead the CJC08 Sustainment team in support capability to the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Survivability Program (JEMSS).
The EL1 Product Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):
1. Management of FMS cases
2. Management of Finance and Budgeting Reporting
3. Management of Sustainment Reporting
4. Management of Procurements and Contracts
5. Management of an Engineering and Logistics Team
About our Team
The EWIS J&A SPO undertakes the acquisition and through-life-support of assigned Joint and Air Electronic Warfare Capabilities used by the Australian Defence Force. It delivers countermeasures development and validation services and supports a number of projects being delivered to the Intelligence and Security Group.

The ideal candidate will have:
8. A record of achievement in business management, planning with experience coordinating the delivery of a range of business activities, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
9. Experience managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
10. Experience in workforce management including recruitment, induction, strategic performance management and off-boarding;
11. Commercial experience and the ability to develop and interpret policy and governance documentation;
12. The capacity to think strategically, develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business objectives;
13. High-level organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve business objectives.
14. Communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner while focusing on key points. Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft and review complex procurement and communications/approval documentation;
15. The ability to negotiate and collaborate, build relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
16. Respond flexibly to changing situations, including using sound judgement under pressure, to ensure the success of key deliverables.
