About the Role
In this role, you will be a hands-on Learning and Development Manager at our Scunthorpe site, our largest location with around 2,000 employees. This is a fast-paced, complex environment requiring someone proactive, resilient, and able to thrive under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
1. This is a hands-on, full-scope Learning & Development role where you'll take ownership of the entire L&D agenda.
2. Designing and delivering factory and management training programs.
3. Leading and improving the induction and onboarding process.
4. Shaping and executing the overall learning strategy.
5. Supporting new initiatives and projects with tailored training solutions.
6. Creating impactful, practical training from the ground up — we're not looking for textbook trainers, but someone who brings learning to life.
About You
We're seeking a confident, hands-on Learning & Development Manager with a blend of training expertise, leadership skills, and exceptional communication abilities. You should bring energy, creativity, and a practical approach to learning—focusing on doing, not just frameworks. The role requires someone visible, engaging, and action-oriented, thriving in fast-paced environments and making learning stick through practical application.
Key Skills and Qualifications
1. At least 2+ years in an L&D role.
2. Ability to think quickly and adapt to challenges.
3. Experience in fast-paced, large-scale manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
4. Comfortable being very visible on site and getting hands dirty.
5. Strong people management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
6. Relevant L&D qualifications such as CIPD are advantageous.
7. Potential for career progression within 2 Sisters Food Group.
