Job Description
Assistant Development Manager required for a new role in the Durham area. Corepeople are working exclusively with this family ran business as they seek to add a new Assistant Manager to their land development team.
The RoleWorking closely with a team of professionals, you will benefit from the support of several highly experienced people. The role is largely project focussed, within a team tasked with finding land for potential development. You will coordinate the activity of the team from developing the concept into creating the design solution. This will include coordinating commercial assessments and appraisals of land, in conjunction with the commercial and engineering teams, preparing planning applications and negotiating planning conditions and section 106 agreements. You will also have some involvement in health & safety, risk assessments and budget preparation, along with marketing and stakeholder engagement.
If you are keen to work for a family run business, where you will have the opportunity to become involved in a broad range of activities, this may be the right place for you. Similar roles in larger businesses offer a much narrower remit.
The Person Applicants who have several years’ experience in this type of role are welcome. There will be the opportunity for further development, but the successful applicant will already have some solid previous experience of working in a development related role to draw upon. My client is looking for someone able to manage projects and develop strategies for the delivery of complex projects; the role requires someone confident enough to lead a meeting, present to the board and work well with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
It would be ideal for applicants to have a relevant degree such as Town Planning or Chartered Surveying, but this is not essential.
Applicants must also be able to drive.
Remuneration£40,000 to £45,000 per annum
