About the Role
Following a recent promotion within our Property Services Team, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Technician to join our Reactive Routine Repairs Team at Paradigm Housing. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality internal repairs across our properties, ensuring our homes are safe, well-maintained, and ready for our residents.
As a senior member of the team, you'll oversee day-to-day repair operations, support technicians/trades people on-site, and work closely with our scheduling and housing teams to keep things running smoothly. From diagnosing defects to inspecting completed works, you'll be instrumental in maintaining our high standards and improving customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading by example on-site, carrying out repair works and post-inspections
* Supporting technicians with queries and escalating issues where needed
* Monitoring job completion rates and technician productivity
* Allocating work and managing subcontractor performance
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and internal standards
* Conducting regular site visits and vehicle checks
* Collaborating with housing colleagues to deliver efficient, high-profile repairs
* Driving continuous improvement and value-for-money initiatives
What You'll Bring
* NVQ/BTEC or equivalent in a trade maintenance qualification
* Skilled in at least 3 trades, with extensive experience in property repairs
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
* Excellent time management and adaptability
* Health & Safety awareness (CITB standard desirable)
* Full UK driving licence (as part of this role, you'll receive a company van and fuel card for business usage).
Why Paradigm?
This is a full-time, permanent role (42.5 hours per week) based across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties, with office hubs in High Wycombe and Chesham. The salary is £46,553, and the role includes a company van with a fuel card.
