Responsibilities:
* Provide quality assurance of imported data.
* Commission and decommission data sets.
* Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources.
* Support initiatives for data integrity.
* Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
* Train end‑users on new reports and dashboards.
* Apply data analysis and visualization techniques using BI tools.
* Identify, collect, migrate and clean data from a range of systems.
* Summarise and present data and conclusions in appropriate formats for users.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Experience in data quality assurance and validation.
* Proficiency in data visualization.
* Application of statistical methods and analysis of a range of data sets.
* Accuracy, attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
* Presentation skills to a range of audiences.
* Critical thinking and problem‑solving.
* Ability to establish priorities.
Modern Skillset Required:
* Essential: Proficiency in SQL for extracting, manipulating and analysing data from databases.
* Essential: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, DAX or R for data analysis and automation.
* Essential: Expertise in BI tools, including Power BI, Tableau and other data visualization software.
* Essential: Statistical and quantitative analysis skills.
* Desirable: Data modelling and database management (data warehouses).
* Desirable: Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA).
* Continuous learning and adaptability to emerging trends.
Expected Qualifications / Equivalent Experience:
* Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Power BI.
* SQL Server.
* Oracle SQL.
* Python (desirable).
* Azure DataBricks & Database systems.
