Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team in Dursley. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing vehicle electrical systems across a range of vehicles. This role would suit someone with strong diagnostic skills and a background in heavy vehicle or commercial automotive electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose electrical faults and repair wiring systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
* Repair and replace faulty wiring, lighting, sensors, and control systems in line with manufacturer specifications.
* Install and configure new electrical systems, including lighting, CANbus components, CCTV, weighing systems, and telematics.
* Install and test electrical components and wiring harnesses in vehicles.
* Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs and installations.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, ideally in commercial or heavy vehicle sectors.
* Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including CANbus and multiplex wiring.
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
* Competent with diagnostic software and tools.
