Our children's services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families in Blackpool. As a result, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Worker (25 hours per week, term time only) to join us in delivering Early Help services through our Request for Support Hub (Front door for Children's Services)
Our family workers deliver support to children and their families across the town through our network of Family Hubs, and are at the forefront of delivering our vision for all children to receive the right support at the right time.
We are looking for family workers who are experts in engaging families and other agencies; experience of holding a case load of families and in delivering evidence-based programmes is vital.
We are looking for Early Help Family Workers who:-
* are passionate about early help
* understand Blackpool's Early Help Strategy and continuum of need
* have working knowledge of the local community and partner agencies
* are a reflective practitioner who embraces and promotes strength-based work
* embrace our Blackpool Families Rock approach
The successful candidate will be co-located in the Request for Support Hub, alongside Social Worker colleagues, to support screening and decision making where an offer of Early Help might be the most appropriate for the child and their family. Where the screening identifies unmet needs for the child the early help family worker will collaboratively work with the partnership to ensure the right support at the right time is offered to our families in line with the Early Help Strategy.
