We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bid Writer within our Energy Infrastructure division, supporting bids for some of the country’s largest network operators and private sector clients.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing high-impact tender submissions that help power communities, keep homes warm, and advance sustainable energy generation.
United Infrastructure is also committed to strengthening the UK’s water systems through clean and wastewater infrastructure upgrades. We design, install, repair, and commission solutions that respond to the challenges of a growing population and a changing climate. As a Senior Bid Writer, you will craft complex, technically accurate, and persuasive submissions that influence how clean water reaches homes and businesses, help reduce flood risk, and support the protection of natural ecosystems.
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
* Have experience writing and coordinating bids within construction, engineering, utilities, or wider infrastructure projects
* Possess exceptional writing, structuring, and storytelling ability, with a strong grasp of client-focused, benefits-led communication
* Have contributed to or led the written element of high-value or technically complex tenders
* Bring strategic thinking and can translate technical information into clear, compelling value propositions and win themes
* Are passionate about supporting the future of the UK’s energy and water networks through high-quality, insight-driven bid submissions
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., English, marketing, engineering, construction) or equivalent experience
* Strong experience in bid writing within infrastructure, utilities, or engineering services
* Professional certification or formal bid writing/bid management training (e.g., APMP Practitioner or higher) is highly desirable
* Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
